How it works
Margin and markup are different
At $100 cost, 25% markup gives a $125 price and 20% margin. A 25% target margin requires $133.33.
Margin price = total cost ÷ (1 − target margin)
Markup price = total cost × (1 + markup)
Compare estimated and actual time
After a trial visit, enter actual crew labor-hours to compare profit at the quoted price. Other costs stay fixed. Use representative visits before revising scope or pricing.
What appears in the client proposal?
Client printouts show scope, frequency and price. Wages, costs, margins and actual hours stay private. The internal CSV includes those costs; do not send it as a proposal.
Can I use it for specialist cleaning?
Specialist work needs its own scope, training and equipment costs. This general model supplies no pricing benchmarks or cleaning protocols.
How to use
Describe the job, estimate total person-hours, and enter labor and overhead costs. Choose markup or target margin, then print the customer-facing quote.
